Ebeam Inspection and Metrology Senior Product Engineer

We are looking for additions to our world-class team of Product Engineers for the Calibre Metrology and Inspection tools to support our rapid growth and expanding research and development activities. The role of a SEM Metrology and Inspection Senior Product Engineer at Siemens EDA involves supporting ebeam metrology product management as well as ebeam inspection product management. This position will focus primarily on the development of world class metrology and inspection tools. The Senior Product Engineer position provides an extraordinary opportunity to help define and support the development of enabling metrology and inspection capabilities for next-generation semiconductor processes. The PE role involves close involvement with software engineering, product marketing, and customers. Responsibilities include providing in-depth technical support and training to our customers, defining and characterizing new capabilities, and working closely with Product Marketing to communicate the value and benefits of new features and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Ebeam Inspection and Metrology Senior Product Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the ebeam metrology and inspection product management teams in defining and driving new product features and capabilities.
  • Collaborating closely with software engineering, product marketing, and customer teams to ensure the successful development and deployment of next-generation metrology and inspection tools.
  • Providing in-depth technical support and training to customers, ensuring they achieve optimal results with Siemens EDA solutions.
  • Defining, characterizing, and validating new software capabilities to address the needs of next-generation semiconductor processes.
  • Acting as a technical liaison to communicate customer needs and challenges back to internal teams for continuous improvement of our tools.
  • Documenting and presenting the value and benefits of new features and capabilities to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Contributing to technical innovation through research and development of enabling software technologies for ebeam inspection and metrology.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Microelectronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong interest in enabling software technology for ebeam inspection and metrology.
    • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
    • Experience with TCL, Perl, Python scripting, or C programming is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of semiconductor processing and lithography.
    • Expertise in metrology or inspection within wafer fabs is required.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in metrology or inspection is required.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate and present technical information.
  • Location: This position may be located in Fremont, CA.

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $126,100 to $227,000 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
