Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility - Define and drive initiatives related to build, support and operation of engineering systems
  • Write IaC, and mentor others in this area
  • Automate systems and support functions
  • Assisting with technical implementation and planning efforts for migration to OpenStack
  • Partner with engineering, operations, network and other architects to drive implementation solution designs
  • Drive execution to large scale DevOps projects, coordinating across multiple stakeholders
  • Lead efforts of more junior technical staff

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science, or related field
  • 5 years in IaC, with Terraform, for management of cloud-based networking and VM infrastructure. Additional experience with Ansible and Crossplane
  • 5 years' experience in hyperscalers - including commercial deployment and support of enterprise systems deployed in each of AWS, Azure and GCP
  • 2 years' experience working in enterprise OpenStack solutions, for on-prem cloud solutions
  • 3 years' experience working with infrastructure monitoring services including Prometheus/Grafana, APM tooling (such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic), open-source systems metrics (such as Zabbix or CheckMk), experience with security tooling for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, and on call systems such as PagerDuty
  • 3+ years' experience working with ServiceNow ticketing systems
  • 8+ years working with Jira project tracking, in agile environments, including experience as a scrum lead
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud-based systems and infrastructure: build, operations, automation, monitoring, and cost management
  • Experience with large scale enterprise VM migrations (greater than 20k VMs across a global footprint)
  • 8+ years of experience working in container-based technologies include at least 5 years in Kubernetes and experience with secure infrastructure design (certificates, vault, PKI service, etc.)
  • 5+ years' experience building cloud-based network solutions across combination of AWS, Azure, GCP and OpenStack
  • 5+ years mentoring and developing junior staff
  • 5+ years working in partnership with software engineering teams to develop and operate E2E DevSecOps/GitOps environments
  • 5+ years building and supporting tooling for CI/CD pipelines, including mastery of deploying and managing Jenkins in High Availability, scalable clusters.
  • 8+ years in enterprise, git-based development environments. Familiar with git-model of collaborative development
  • 5+ years interfacing with engineering and external customers to collect requirements and remediate issues
  • Required amount of travel with the position is up to 20%

The salary range for this position is $151,300 to $272,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
