As a Consultant Associate for Academics & Startups, you will take the lead in building ground-breaking partnerships that empower educational institutions and early-stage companies/incubators to unlock their full potential. Your mission is to drive impactful relationships, scale Siemens' influence in this ecosystem, and achieve revenue growth across South America region.

Embedded within the South America portfolio development and sales organization, you will architect and implement growth strategies that align with the Channel Sales organization. Your work will involve partnering with Channel Management, Partner Sales Executives, and Portfolio Development Executives to build opportunities that fuel innovation across multiple industries and technology domains.

To achieve success, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Academic & Startup business plan that aligns with the Country strategy, driving business development activities including supporting campaign strategies for sales demand generation with a focus on keeping a healthy and consistent pipeline to meet the assigned business targets, implementing sales activities in collaboration with our Partners, and guiding deal closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving business revenue and growth in the Academic and Startup market for Siemens Software in South America.
  • Build and maintain business plan that aligns with Siemens' strategy.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify promising opportunities.
  • Support campaign strategies for sales demand generation and optimize lead management to develop a strong sales pipeline.
  • Enable and support Channel Partners in nurturing and converting opportunities into sustainable partnerships.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to amplify Siemens' visibility through targeted campaigns, events, and social media.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline progress, sales execution plans, and partnership outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing, pre-sales, or product management.
  • Experience with software and technology sales, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or IT, with good knowledge of the SaaS business.
  • Deep understanding of technology and solutions, with a track record of success in customer engagement at all organizational levels.
  • Consistent track record in developing elaborate business plans and performing go-to-market strategies.
  • Desirable knowledge of the academic and startup environment and ecosystem.
  • Strong organizational acuity, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience addressing executive stakeholders and technical audiences with confidence and clarity.
  • Strategic problem solver with results- and business-oriented attitude.
  • Strong skills in negotiation and commercial acuity, including closing deals and partnerships.
  • Availability to travel 30% to 50% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering required.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Multi software-solution and multi-industry experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience working in startup or incubator environments, with insight into their unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Expertise in small/medium-sized business sales, marketing, or business development.
