About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated software quality engineer with significant circuit design knowledge to join our team responsible for verification and test of Calibre LVS, ensuring our EDA software product remains the best in the industry.
You will be part of an amazing team dedicated to testing, debugging, and qualifying our software releases and updates. As a key contributor to our success, you'll design, develop, and implement functional and regression tests that measure correctness, adaptability, performance, and overall quality. Your work will directly impact our customers and help us deliver timely product releases that exceed expectations!

You'll have the opportunity to develop new procedures and tools that improve the QA process and collaborate closely with developers, quality assurance specialists, marketing, and customer support teams. You'll think like both an electrical engineer and a software engineer, breaking away from conventional testing methods to deliver the best possible results!
Required Skills:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.
- 1-3 years in SW Quality Assurance with proven programming skills.
- Extensive Linux or Unix operating system experience and shell Scripting experience (e.g., bash, ksh)
- Knowledge of the Python language and experience writing Tcl code.
- Familiar with using defect tracking systems.
- Excellent English Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Practical experience with source code control tools (e.g., GIT, Perforce, Subversion, CVS, etc.).
- Knowledge of IC manufacturing process flows, IC physical design, layout, and verification processes and tools.
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to CAD/CAE environments.
- Experience with EDA tools like DRC, LVS, Parasitic Extraction, and netlisting tools.
- Familiarity with full custom layout tools or place-and-route tools.
- Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming.
