We are looking for APAC Portfolio Development Manager for our Digital Manufacturing portfolios. The Digital Manufacturing portfolios are consist of Siemens Digital Logistics (SDL), Supplyframe (SF) and Product Cost Management (PCM). As part of APAC zone Software Sales organization, this role will focus on manufacturing companies. The most important consideration after product innovation and quality is how costs affect their ability to compete in the global marketplace. Developing detailed cost knowledge and maximum transparency across the entire value chain is indispensable for achieving excellent cost management. The successful candidate will advocate and drive the development of allocated large, strategic portfolio domains through the identification of a clear target markets and go to market strategy, and the execution of campaign focused strategies to leverage and maximize software opportunities.

As a Portfolio Development Manager, you would be expected to have a commercial background, experience of working in a costing function, or with techniques like purchase price analysis, design-to-cost, or target cost models etc. You would lead the APAC go-to-market strategy with a goal to maximise revenues from this Siemens Portfolio, working closely with Country organisations on developing regional plans and driving sales pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define clear market expectations for the chosen portfolio domain.
- Act as trusted advisor to Sales and Presales teams within APAC zone providing guidance on the planning, execution and measurement of portfolio development activities.
- Ensure Country / Vertical / Region portfolio execution plans provide coverage for the Zone requirements.
- Act as key point of contact for Country / Vertical / Region Sales and Channel teams for campaign knowledge and portfolio domain expertise.
- Establish and track measurable goals for monitoring portfolio growth against each campaign and portfolio across Region or Zone provide feedback to Global PFDs on content and lessons learnt, and guidance for enhancements to improve materials.
- Using strategic planning data, identify potential areas for new Campaign development and drive their creation, within own portfolio.
- Communicate and share best practices and lessons learnt across the Countries / Regions and evangelize globally.
- Works on portfolio domains including campaigns of the highest complexity and strategic importance across the Digital Enterprise.
- Works under self-management on assignments/pursuits and will determine solutions, methods and procedures.
- Provides guidance and mentoring within and beyond Zone to others on portfolio development approaches in specific portfolio domains.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Finance/Cost Accounting, Engineering or Manufacturing. MBA will be a plus.
- 10+ years of business development experience in software, RFQ management, purchasing, NPI and/or costing solutions will be preferred.
- Currently based in Japan; ability to travel across APAC countries and communicate effectively with multiple nationalities and cultures.
- Must have an excellent communication skill in Japanese and English.
- Good presentation skills, strong analytical skills, demonstrates knowledge in fortune 1000 companies purchasing process and procedures related to cost and pricing controls.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding for the market trends.
- Experience in a customer-facing sales or business development function.
- Industry knowledge: Automotive; Electronics & Semiconductor; Aerospace, and/or other.
