Siemens EDA's IC Verification Solutions is looking for an Analog/Mixed Signal QA Engineer to join our Circuit Simulation QA teamin Cairo, Egypt.

CKTSIM QA Engineers are focused on circuit simulation challenges and issues. They study and guarantee fulfillment of customer requirements in cross-functional product teams. They analyze and profile software on large sets of analog circuits (e.g. ADC, PLL, SerDes, VCO, PA, LNA, Mixer, Memories, High-Speed IOs) to help improve simulation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strive for high-quality standards in Siemens EDA Analog Circuit simulators (Solidosim suite).
  • Collaborate with R&D to debug customer design issues in simulation and propose innovative solutions.
  • Define test and quality plans for simulator features/analysis in coordination with development and marketing teams.
  • Create innovative test scenarios targeting various simulator areas and customer models.
  • Analyze customer design results, setups, accuracy of outputs, and simulator performance for pre-layout and post-layout circuits.
  • Provide detailed reports to management summarizing RF analysis status regarding functionality, accuracy, and performance.
  • Monitor simulator performance and report significant performance degradations.
  • Develop test cases to evaluate new features using analog design languages (Spice, Verilog-A).
  • Analyze customer-reported defects and automate circuit accuracy checks for customer designs.
  • Diagnose issues from test results and collaborate with development teams to propose solutions.
  • Act as a designer using the products, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance them.
  • Work closely with developers and product engineers to optimize validation cycles in an Agile process.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum grade of "very good with honors."
  • Strong background in RF analog circuit design and simulation.
  • Familiarity with Verilog-A descriptions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of RF concepts, RF design, and simulation is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting, UNIX systems, programming, and development.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
