About the Role

As an AI R&D Development Engineer You will be part of an international and dynamic research team responsible for innovative engineering methodology solutions. The team is working on multiple research projects (European Horizon, VLAIO...) together with supporting commercial projects worldwide. We have strong collaborations with other R&D teams, experts in Siemens as well as external industry and academic partner

We are looking to expand the R&D team with a colleague who develops and validates state-of-art Multimodal AI technologies. One of the focuses is on Generative AI and Foundation model, especially involving time series dataset. AI for industrial applications differs significantly from AI used in other commercial settings. It must meet the rigorous requirements and standards of the most demanding safety environments. With the ability to process large amounts of testing measurement data, complex requirements, and recognize complex patterns, industrial-grade AI helps companies accelerate their digital transformation at scale, achieve their goals, and become a sustainable Digital Enterprises.

Area of Responsibility

  • Performing testing, measurement campaigns and data processing
  • Developing Multimodal AI technologies and methodologies
  • Execute project tasks in R&D Industrial AI projects and deliver results
  • Cooperate with colleagues within the R&D team and across the organization.
  • Communicate and support business development in meetings with customers
  • Creating user documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Writing scientific reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • An MSc/PhD degree in AI, robotics, or control
  • Experience with scientific computing and programming Python, C/C++, Matlab
  • Strong interest in industrial AI
  • Fluent in English

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Experience with LLM, foundation model, Agentic AI
  • Familiar with industrial testing and time series data processing (automotive, aerospace, machinery...)
  • Experience with Software Defined Vehicle (SDV)
