Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

The Industry Strategy organization is the primary and established enterprise resource group on how to best design implement and support the application of digitalization, digital twin and digital threads.

Specifically, this role is focused on the Aerospace and Defense industry, with two primary goals:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with sales, marketing, product development, and the extended teams to develop high quality, value driven solutions and messaging for the Industry Digital Threads to support the sales of the Siemens Xcelerator Portfolio and meet the goals of the business.
  • Become a key thought leader in communicating key messages and strategies internally within sales/extended organization and externally with customer, partners, and industry organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales organization to define digital thread messaging and solutions needs, and coordinate with internal teams to develop robust solutions and supporting collaterals (marketing, product development, supporting teams):
    • Create and maintain collaterals for key messaging digital threads (presentations, demonstrable solutions, environments, blogs, white papers, general through leadership).
    • Drive solution/capabilities catalog for key messaging digital threads.
    • Define and maintain prescriptive processes and supporting scenarios for the digital threads in alignment with the digital thread factory and industry teams.
    • Lead technical teams to develop and maintain the industry cloud environment to develop and document the prescriptive demo scenarios.
  • Support sales teams for key opportunity pursuits as industry subject matter expert.
  • Represent Siemens at industry organizations and standards organizations: demonstrate extensive knowledge of Aerospace and Defense domains and the basic functional application of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to them.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BS/BA (or relevant Technical Degree) in related engineering, manufacturing, or computer science related discipline.
  • 10+ Years' experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • 5+ Years' experience PLM software domain experience.
  • Proven record of ability to present technology solutions in front of groups while incorporating specific selling techniques.
  • Must be open to an average of 30% - 40% travel, mostly domestic.
  • Excellent verbal group presentation and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work remote (virtual office), and currently reside in the USA.
  • Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision, able to self-learn.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 10+ years' Siemens Xcelerator PLM domain experience.
  • 15+ Years' experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Proven success and Leadership experience in a Design/Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Service Engineering role in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • 5+ Years' experience driving digital transformation strategy and implementation (including but not limited to roadmap definition, internal leadership buy-in, development, implementation and adoption).
  • Lean Six Sigma experience driving business process improvement.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $142,800 to $285,600 with 15% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
