The opportunity:

Are you a subject matter expert in HR for Romania and Eastern European countries? Are you passionate about cultivating a positive work environment, crafting robust onboarding strategies, effective leave policies, and handling employee relations across diverse European countries? Join us as a European HR Generalist to make a significant impact on our growing team!

The day to day:

Stakeholder Management and Engagement:

  • Proactively building outstanding relationships and communicating effectively with a variety of key stakeholders across EMEA including both employees and managers.
  • Ability to align the HR strategy with business objectives, promoting DEI and ensuring compliance with the local laws and cultural sensitivities.
  • Actively partnering with and involving stakeholders in decision making processes, soliciting feedback and fostering a productive work environment.

Comprehensive Onboarding Strategies:

  • Develop and implement standardised onboarding procedures tailored to each European country, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Collaborate with regional HR teams to localise onboarding programs while maintaining organisational alignment.

Leave of Absence Policies and Support:

  • Establish clear and compliant leave of absence policies for Romania and other European countries, considering legal requirements and organisational needs.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to employees and managers regarding leave processes, approvals, and documentation, fostering transparency and consistency.

Effective Employee Relations Management:

  • Handle employee relations cases professionally and promptly, offering guidance and solutions while ensuring fairness and compliance with local laws.
  • Collaborate with managers to address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and promote a positive workplace culture.

Policy Alignment and Compliance:

  • Continuously review and update all HR policies to align with evolving European labour laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about legal changes and adapt policies accordingly, ensuring compliance and minimising organisational risks.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse data related to onboarding effectiveness, leave utilisation, and employee relations cases, providing actionable insights for improvement and decision-making.
  • Generate regular reports to assess HR initiatives' impact and effectiveness across the European regions.

HR Administration:

  • A range of administration tasks including managing employee files, processing documents and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth HR processes.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Extensive experience in HR roles supporting workforces based in Romania and other Eastern European countries.
  • Strong knowledge of European labour laws and regulations related to onboarding, leave, and employee relations.
  • Global mindset and experience working for a multinational company is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across diverse European cultures.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
