The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our quickly growing Poplar team (programmatic mail platform). This talented individual will work with the team interfacing directly with clients to provide integration and technical support, focus on creative translation and creative strategy and work on longer term product-related projects to improve the platform. Areas you will cover include product/development work, client communication, marketing strategy and workflows, partner integrations, and data analysis projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize the efficient resolution of technical issues raised by clients and internal teams.
- Develop out-of-the-box technical recommendations to make use of Poplar’s unique personalization capabilities utilizing available data.
- Provide creative translation services to clients (HTML/CSS), as well as strategic creative design ideas.
- Onboard new clients with demos of the platform and answer any setup or technical questions.
- Support clients in segment creation, multivariate testing, and lift analysis.
- Track platform performance (quantitative & qualitative), including technical issues, and provide roadmap recommendations for testing and optimizing the platform towards client needs.
- Help clients integrate their marketing platform to pass segments into our platform, usually via a UI or Webhook.

- Working on an integration with a 3rd party CRM platform.
- Converting a client’s creative from PDF to a dynamic HTML version.
- Responding to client questions on platform functionality or best practices.
- Running a platform demo via Google hangout for a client.
- Walking a partner through the technical integration with our platform.
- Analyzing client campaign performance and writing up report and strategy changes for clients.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, REST APIs & JSON.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Passion for marketing, design, customer acquisition, and brand.
- Strong sense of urgency and great time management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).
- The ability to work independently and manage relationships.
Bonus Technical Skills
- SQL
- Javascript
- Experience setting up segments in common BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
- Experience with email or push retargeting automations via Hubspot, Zapier, Iterable and/or other marketing automation platforms
