Job Description

STEP Strategic Operations is the operational engine and heart of the STEP organization, driving exceptional strategic value for our employees and customers. Across our teams, we support strategic STEP wide programs, product and portfolio operations, strategic business operations for our Workflows and Experience org, STEP persona learning and development (incl. onboarding and in-role training) and lead strategic customer engagement efforts with our COO and STEP leadership.

We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager with an interest in product operations to join our talented team. As the Staff Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic operations for all ServiceNow's product managers. This includes work on the culture, tools and processes, training, and data for the ServiceNow product managers, while also representing product to the rest of the company. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to deliver innovative solutions that address the ever-changing challenges in the product space.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Product strategy, vision, and process - develop and articulate a clear product strategy for our PM Tooling and the processes that align to it. Define and communicate the long-term vision, ensuring alignment with industry trends and product manager (customer) needs
  • Cross-functional collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure the successful development, launch, and support of products and programs. Work closely with stakeholders to gather input and feedback, incorporating it into product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Product Roadmap and Lifecycle Management - Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining key features, enhancements, and releases. Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring products meet needs and remain competitive.
  • Stakeholder engagement - Communicate common priorities for product manager effectiveness across BUs and build consensus.
  • Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish and help the teams achieve the intended outcomes
  • Develop plans and help the teams stay on track by monitoring and providing on-going visibility to product and program status (progress against key milestones, key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) to all stakeholders
  • Assume leadership responsibilities as an accountable owner who is committed to the outcome of making our product managers more efficient, effective, and empowered.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact
  • 8+ years of software product management experience
  • Strong prioritization skills and the discipline to focus on high impact activities
  • Experience defining and capturing product requirements and transforming them into a product roadmap
  • Deep curiosity about customer needs and a track record in building customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Drive solution development through big-picture solution development
  • Ability to serve as a team lead and coach employees at lower levels
