Team:

Our engineering team utilizes the ServiceNow platform to create world-class applications for our customers, with a primary focus on user experience and content. The ServiceNow Next Experience framework equips us with modern UI tools (GraphQL, Redux) to develop a seamless web interface. Additionally, we leverage Gen AI capabilities from the Now Platform to generate meaningful content for our customers to act upon. We are seeking engineers who are passionate about solving complex enterprise challenges and eager to use state-of-the-art Generative AI tools.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Gain exposure to teams across different areas within and beyond the development organization, and learn how ServiceNow operates its business, including a fast-growing product area.
  • Work with diverse technologies and tackle problems that require innovative solutions, including but not limited to AI and GenAI, integrating third-party tools with ServiceNow, optimizing existing SN solutions, and more.
  • Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by adhering to best practices in software engineering architecture and processes (e.g., Code Reviews, Unit Testing).
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand detailed requirements and take ownership of code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery of a high-quality product to users.
  • Design intuitive software that enables customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new products and features, while enhancing the existing product suite.
  • Mentor colleagues and encourage knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • A passion for JavaScript and the web as a platform, with a focus on reusability and componentization.
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Advanced experience working with relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with multiple technology stacks, such as Cloud Dev, Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks, or service-oriented architecture.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects with significant technical risk across teams and processes; potentially serving as a functional lead or technical owner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with JavaScript or a similar object-oriented language.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $163,000 - $285,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
