This role is part of our Product Content organization, a global team that creates the written and multimedia technical content that helps our customers navigate and unlock the power of our products to achieve their business and digital transformation goals. We work closely with our product development, design, user research, and engineering partners to deliver just the right information, in just the right way, to enable our customers, creating an exceptional product and customer experience.
What you get to do in this role:
- Work closely with engineering and product management to plan, create, and maintain user-focused textual content, and multimedia assets required to help customers quickly and easily achieve their goals
- Provide input to help shape future content strategy for the product or business unit you help to support
- Contribute to the continued evolution of ServiceNow content development processes, visual standards, and writing style
- Develop a strong understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem and expert knowledge of the specific product area and user base you support
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (the must have):
- BA/BS degree or higher in Graphic Design, Art, Multimedia Production, Journalism, or Technical Writing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in these or other related fields
- Knowledge of content development life cycles and graphic and video production processes
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to effectively partner with global teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (the nice to have):
- 4+ years work experience in technical communication
- Portfolio samples of your prior technical work that demonstrate your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
- Experience using multimedia production tools including Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience independently planning, creating, and delivering documentation in a fast-paced, globally distributed software development environment
- Ability and eagerness to demonstrate leadership by mentoring other content producers, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and helping diverse cross-functional teams collaborate effectively to deliver exceptional results
