Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Director, Network Operations Center. This role does require this person to reside in one of the following areas: Charlotte, NC; Columbia, SC; or Kansas City, MO.
Role Overview:
The Director, Network Operating Center (NOC) Provides strategic leadership and direction for specification, delivery and maintenance of current and future technologies addressing internal and external business needs for the Network Operations Center (NOC). Identifies new technologies and tools to support technology delivery and service availability. Establishes and implements technical and operating performance standards. This position is required to be available 24/7 to dispense responsibilities assist with escalations, and some portion of activations, provisioning and installations The Director will have extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the functional areas of the organization. The Director will perform a wide variety of functions related to ensuring the "quality" of the services delivered and performed by the NOC, break/fix, monitoring and incident management as well as third party vendors. This person will oversee the monitoring of repairs, installation, and testing/turn up of complex services. These responsibilities are an integral part of a 24x7x365 operational environment. The position requires partnering with leaders across all tiers of Technology as well as internal business leaders and 3rd party providers to define processes, performance requirements and metrics, collaboration environments, and operational models. Key success factors include the ability to partner, influence and lead both directly and cross-functionally across the organization.

Qualifications
- Must have 5 years of prior leadership and technical experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent in related field and 10 years' of relevant experience
- Experience: 10 + years of relevant experience with a track record of proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in support of business objectives. Proven ability to develop strategies, translate them into initiatives, and track successful delivery. Proven track record of building and leading teams that deliver exceptional customer experiences. Strong operational acumen, with a focus on building scalable processes that improve productivity and provide increased visibility into progress against key objectives A demonstrated ability to influence and drive consensus cross-functionally and at a senior level. Demonstrated ability to build scalable customer centric operations teams,. 5-7 years professional level experience; or 10+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience in telecommunications. Must have working knowledge of the following technologies; Fiber Optics, TDM, SONET, DWDM, Ethernet and IP Networking, power systems, fault management and alarming methodologies.
