Schedule: Fri & Sat: 2PM - 10PM

• In performing functions, duties or tasks, employees are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.
• Employees are required to notify superiors upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions.
• Provides an atmosphere in which all client employees and visitors know that the client responds to
  
  and cares about their needs; provides a courteous, respectful and pleasant interaction with each
  
  client employee and visitor as perceived from their point of view; presents a good image of the
  
  client and its security department.
• Prepares logs or reports as required for site; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information
  
  in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required.
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for the site, by the company, and/or through training or certification.
• Successful candidates will have the ability to learn security operations and procedures.
• Security Officers will have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form.
• Successful candidates will have the ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
• Successful candidates will have the ability to maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public under conditions of urgency.

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
• Must have great attention to detail
• Intermediate computer / technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, logs, via handheld devices and computers
• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, drivers, general public, co-workers, Site Supervisor, and Office Management
• Must be able to conduct internal / external foot patrols throughout shift - during various weather conditions - to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized persons
• Must be comfortable with access control and turning away public / visitors that are not permitted on site
• Must have a Colorado Driver's License and a clean driving record
• Must have a personal vehicle
• Must be willing to provide additional coverage as needed
• Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve site / organizational goals
• Must be able to meet Pueblo Police Department Guard Card requirements, provide 2 professional letters of character, and complete Guard Card processes in a timely manner
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation / force if required
• Successful candidates will have the ability to remain cognoscente and vigilant during entirety of shift
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment while remaining organized and professional
