Schneider Electric has a new opportunity for a Workplace & Asset Protection Co-Op, based in our Boston, MA site. The start date is targeted for May/June 2025, working full-time through August. The ideal candidate will continue through Fall 2025 as either a part-time intern or full-time Co-Op.
Schneider Electric's Global Workplace & Asset Protection is a global function within the governance organization's Global Security & Resilience department and is mandated to oversee the physical protection of the company's assets and workplaces globally. The program works directly with the Energy Management, Industrial Automation & Innovation lines of business, as well as core functions like Global Supply Chain, Cybersecurity and Global Real Estate to holistically manage the safeguarding of Schneider's people, information, brand & properties. You will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that contribute to Schneider Electric's success. You will partner closely with security risk management subject matter experts to scale repeatable processes. You will also have the opportunity to network across multiple Schneider Electric functions and lines of business.

You'll build professional and technical skills in a role working on challenging, real-world problems. You will build relationships with interns/coops and leaders and prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation.
What will you do?
- Assist in the development and implementation of security risk management process improvements to enhance protection and reduce costs.
- Analyze asset & workplace data to identify improvement priorities and strengthen global security governance.
- Support the design and optimization of security risk management workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a dedicated software system.
- Participate in the development and rollout of digitized training & awareness content to build knowledge on security risk management and upskill our global partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve governance issues.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions .
- Assist in the implementation of protection compliance assessments & simulated physical intrusion tests.
- Prepare and present reports on program status and performance metrics.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Security, Cyber Security, Threat Intelligence, Engineering Management, Counter-Terrorism or Contemporary Warfare.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with workflow integration software (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
- Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with honesty, contributes constructively
- Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed, and takes initiative
- Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative teamwork
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop floor environment around various machine tools and equipment
- Currently local to the Boston, MA area and able to work full-time in person
