Senior EndPoint Infrastructure Operations Engineer
You will report to the Head of Endpoint & Mobility Delivery and Operations team.
As Engineers, you will participate in projects and oversee the implementation of information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure relating to Endpoints of the organization.
The implementation occurs generally in Project mode, following on from proof-of-concept items, with strong stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering stages.
You will ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the change management and implementation of new features and system requirements.
You will provide Level 2 and 3 support on all areas under your scope.

You will have a main responsibility (in your case Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - VDI ) and some secondaries (depending on your background)
What do you get to do in this position?
On your specific primary assignment (VDI)
• Implement Azure Virtual Desktop solutions based on client requirements and best practices.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, session hosts, and other Azure Virtual Desktop components.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and networking teams for integration and performance optimization.
• Provide end-user support, troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and application compatibility issues.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize for an optimal user experience.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks like patching, updates, and security hardening.
• Coordinate with application owners and support teams for seamless application integration.
• Create and maintain documentation, including procedures, guides, and troubleshooting resources.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Azure Virtual Desktop and virtualization.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and train other team members on VDI technologies and solutions.
For all secondaries assignments
• You will provide L3 support for EndPoint assigned subjects (OS, ME-CM, MEM, Mobile or Compliance...).
• Assist with the improvement of the solution environment and functional processes for our customers. Automate Operational processes where feasible.
• Manage the L3 support incidents related with EndPoint, being part of a global Team for EndPoint and Mobility L3 support
• Supports the windows infrastructure including: All versions of supported Microsoft OS (except for the server part), ME-CM, VDI, etc...
• Work closely with our service providers
• Work closely with the respective service line Architects
• Consistently apply "lessons learned", model personal accountability & teamwork.
• Participate in proactive support management, analyze problems, provide solutions to meet customer needs.
• Engage with global architectural team and global operations' teams to ensure a streamlined customer experience.
• Document operational processes and ensure those are properly disseminated thru L1 and L2
• Ensure all support levels are properly trained and knowledgeable on your area of responsibility.
• Contribute & share knowledge thru communities, documentation, and communication channels.
• Execute assigned project work related to the EndPoint and Mobility support area

Requirements:
For your specific primary assignment (VDI)
• Over 4 to 5 years of experience in similar position
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Cloud Concepts
• Strong knowledge on VDI (HyperV, VMWARE, VirtualBox...)
• Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Experience in Azure Virtual Desktop Solution.
• Experience in AVD business requirements gathering.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
• Experience with Intune / MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).
For all secondaries assignments
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable knowledge of desktop environments including Microsoft Windows 10 (W11) Operating Systems, hardware, mobility, connectivity, etc.
• Understanding of Network Topologies, ZScaler, VPN's & Proxies is desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve advanced problems for PC related software and hardware issues
• Ability to closely work with partners and vendors
• Ability to manage multiple activities
• Ability to work in a matrix reporting environment
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to hunt down a problem and find a solution, ability to diagnose and resolve advanced problems for PC related software and hardware issues
• Current with emerging desktop technologies
• Possess a passion for continuous learning, strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and good judgement
• Technical Delivery and Customer facing presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
• Fluent English mandatory, other languages a bonus.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
• Experience in a global role and large enterprise desirable

Certifications (Nice to have):
- Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
- NME-200 Nerdio Manager Enterprise
