We are looking for a dedicated Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Manager to oversee and enhance our Health, Safety & Environment programs within our U.S. Services and Solutions division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of our employees and ensuring compliance with safety regulations across North America.
What will you do?
- Drive Compliance: Lead the design, implementation, and management of SHE programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations. Conduct annual audits to maintain program effectiveness and compliance.
- Customer and Government Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for safety interactions with customers and government officials. Represent Schneider Electric in third-party safety audits and major project walkthroughs.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents and conduct root cause analyses. Develop corrective action plans and communicate findings to enhance safety practices.
- Leadership & Training: Deliver safety presentations and training sessions. Build relationships across teams, advocating for continuous improvement in safety and environmental initiatives.
- Site Audits & Inspections: Conduct thorough worksite assessments, hazard evaluations, and develop site-specific health and safety plans. Ensure compliance with safety protocols in shops and client facilities.
- Training Development: Create and implement effective safety training programs and materials. Lead training sessions on key safety topics such as Electrical Safety, Lockout Tagout, and Fall Protection.
- Track Performance Indicators: Monitor and analyze safety and environmental incidents, providing solutions for improvement based on leading and lagging indicators.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Experience with electrical safety, ergonomics, and remote worker hazards a plus.
- Experience working with teams to achieve improved results, which are measured through Target Zero safety incidents and 100% compliance with all mandates.
- Travel 50% of time.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental health and safety.
- BCSP Qualified Credential: ASP or CSP (CSP preferred).
- Military experience and expert knowledge of EM385-1-1 are a plus.
