Key responsibilities:

As UK and Ireland Power System Senior Controller, you will contribute to commercial & marketing strategy to ensure a sustainable and compliant growth and contribute to the Equity Story
  • Contribute to the commercial strategy of the Power System Business: Drive to maximize sustainable and profitable growth within Power System business to contribute to the Equity story. Partner with Power System business VP lead , to support and challenge on required actions to deliver on short and long-term performance. Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve financial performance including full E2E CCO P&L
  • Challenge new business models / transformation implementation: Assess the strategic plans and map Risks and Opportunities. Ensure compliance of the Commercial strategy to deliver profitable growth. Critically analyse & challenge major project opportunities.


  • Challenge and Collaborate with the ETO Plants in Zone: Drive a strong collaboration with the ETO Plants in the Zone, to ensure alignment on forecasting Topline volumes, Gross Margin performance & Working Capital optimisation
  • Lead the month/year end closing processes: Supervise all month end duties as per blueprint, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles. Drive monthly performance analysis and business reviews. Coordinate with Back Office Plants & Project teams to direct the preparation of the rolling financial forecasts, analyzing variances.
  • Strong engagement in SFC management and cost control : Work closely with SFC Finance Lead to manage SFC cost within the Systems perimeter with focus on workforce planning & efficiency action
  • Internal Controls, Risk Management and Compliance: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Identify and manage financial risks. Support Plant Controllers and Project Controllers in understanding and managing risks in Power Systems BU. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting. Take the lead on Cash for the BU -> AR, Overdues, Working Assist in external audits.
  • Standardise and Digitise Reporting: Lead transversal transformation and process improvement projects. Support the System Business Finance Lead in the E2E System deployment. Leverage the best of digital tools to bring insights and enrich the reporting process driving the Zone for overall forecasting and performance, standardisation and consistency of reporting. Co drive Business Finance transformation (Unify, Horizon, Rebate automation)

Skills and attributes:
  • Leadership and Drive
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, Data Driven with attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software & Office365 such as Excel, Powerpoint essential
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast pace environment with resilience
  • Effective communicator
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

Education
  • Education: Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
  • Certification: ACA/ACCA or CIMA certification preferred
  • Experience: At least 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
