Transportation Transformation Manager

Join Schneider Electric as the NAM Transportation Transformation Manager, where you will lead a dynamic team in leveraging optimization technologies to drive strategic initiatives for the Transportation & Customs team. You will also act as a subject matter expert and liaison for global and regional supply chain and logistics transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Expertise: Provide specialized knowledge to prioritized supply chain transformation projects, including:
    • Manufacturing, cross-docking, and distribution footprint adjustments
    • Implementation of Consolidated Freight Stations (CFS)
    • Enhancement of the Lead Transportation Provider (LTP) program
    • Transportation Management System (TMS) implementation
    • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) upgrades and onboarding of new modules
    • Coordination of end-to-end Control Tower inputs
  • Opportunity Identification: Utilize comprehensive network modeling inputs (LTP, Carrier Partner, Internal SE, Consultants) to pinpoint high-value transformation opportunities and develop a strategic roadmap for implementation.
  • Productivity Management: Oversee the Transportation team's tactical year-over-year productivity projects focused on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Financial Liaison: Collaborate with the Finance team to accurately calculate and report project cost savings, ensuring alignment with financial methodologies and reporting schedules.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for project management and cost reduction, providing monthly executive summaries and updates.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant Transportation Management experience, with a strong background in both domestic and international shipment management.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Skills Required:
  • Digital Transformation Leadership : Proven ability to lead initiatives that enhance digital capabilities in transportation.
  • Supply Chain Tools Expertise : Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), especially Manhattan Global, and ERP systems like SAP and Oracle.
  • Diverse Transport Modes Knowledge : Leadership experience across various transport modes, including LTL, domestic parcel and air, full truckload, fleet management, cross-border operations, and international logistics.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills to effectively lead teams and manage relationships.
  • Analytical Proficiency : Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial insights.
  • Project Management : Experience leading cross-functional teams in developing and executing logistics strategies.
  • Self-Motivated : Ability to work independently and manage relationships effectively.
  • Business Operations Understanding : Solid grasp of operational support, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
