The International Transport Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all operations related to the transportation of goods at the international level. This role ensures that shipments are carried out efficiently, complying with customs regulations and optimizing costs, while also guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise international transport operations.
  • Carry out the process of coordination, entry, and billing of cargo.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international standards in each transport operation.
  • In some cases, negotiate rates and conditions with transport and logistics providers to optimize costs.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients and suppliers to ensure the availability and punctuality of shipments.
  • Manage the necessary documentation for international transport, such as invoices, shipping guides, and certificates.
  • Monitor and resolve any incidents or problems that arise during the transport process.
  • Analyze and report performance and cost metrics for international transport, proposing improvements when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective information flow and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on trends and changes in the international transport sector.
  • Knowledge of Free Zone regulations. Knowledge in Imports/Exports


Qualifications

This job might be for you if you fit the following requirements:

  • Title in International Trade, Customs Management, or a related field (Bachelor's/Master's
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Import Management or International Logistics
  • Knowledge of Free Trade Zone regulations, customs regulations, and commercial standards
  • Experience in SAP
  • English proficiency at 80%
  • Proficient in Excel and TIC@
  • Knowledge of Magaya systems, Delta
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
  • Proactive and team-oriented
  • Adaptability to changes in a dynamic environment
  • Results-oriented individual with leadership potential
