The North American Labs Organization is mainly focused on North American testing products. It provides new product development validation and verification testing as well as product line engineering tests support for ELM low/medium voltage equipment and components. The team provides testing services focused on electro-mechanical systems, components, automated engineering configuration of systems and the application of electronic devices such as variable speed drives, PCBs, etc.

In this exciting career you will work closely with new product development Agile test leaders executing testing for our future product offers, as well as existing products testing follow up, working with product safety, continuous engineering and manufacturing teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs verification, validation and qualification testing (such as: electrical, mechanical, thermal, functional, environmental and accuracy testing)
  • Provides outstanding service for internal and external customers
  • Collects and prepares samples
  • Setting up testing equipment in a correct use and safety manner
  • Collects, prepares and analyzes test data
  • Prepares comprehensive and professional ELM testing results reports
  • Knowledge and application of safety and environmental procedures and practices for working around on energized equipment, having a deep knowledge of the hazards involved
  • Able to read and understand industry standards and specifications for test methods
  • Fulfills technical missions, sometimes with guidance of an Agile Test Leader
  • Might be required to propose and develop solutions in a technical domain to set up testing equipment
  • Supports Agile Test Leader to develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements or use cases
  • Might be required to expose testing results to counter parts

  • Engineering bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics fields
  • Strong electrical and mechanical concepts, its terminology and applications
  • Proficiency in English (intermediate level required)
  • Electrical safety, health and environmental knowledge
  • Computer skills including: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Willing to take on difficult technical challenges
  • Professional, reliable and consistent
  • Demonstrated ability and drive to get things done
  • Great documentation and communication skills

Other Experience and Knowledge with value added:

  • Experience in validation, verification and qualification testing for low and medium voltage power distribution equipment
    and components
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems including equipment and components testing
  • Familiarity with power monitoring and control systems testing
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards from NEMA, ANSI, IEC, CSA and UL
  • Use of, 8D and 5S tools
