Individual responsibility of this position covers all aspects of industrial systems such as architecture, layout, product testing procedure, automation, cybersecurity verification, and ME S integration of assembly lines.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Create automated equipment /machine specifications which include s end of line test equipment
  • Collaborate with design and safety teams to ensure proper functional test requirements for products that can be implemented in our manufacturing processes
  • Work with external suppliers to design and deploy assembly lines, including automated equipment
  • Work as part of a multi-functional team developing robotic solutions
  • Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical controls requirements (Creo)
  • Develop , deploy, and debug PLC and HMI programs for automated equipment
  • Integrate machines and assembly lines into M E S and plants' digital manufacturing execution systems.
  • Plan and provide detailed training on equipment design, maintenance and troublesho oting
  • Support of existing equipment designs, and production issues will be required both locally and at various sites globally
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of equipment technologies and utilizes this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes

  • Bachelor of Science d egree in Electrical, Automation, Robotics Engineering , or similar
  • 1 + years' experience in automation industry or high-volume manufacturing environment
  • 1 + years' experience in assembly line equipment design and deployment
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Good problem-solving skills with experience troubleshooting issues and finding root cause
  • Experience with PLC programming
  • Configur ed and design ed HMI systems
  • Familiar ity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet /IP , CAN, Profibus, etc )
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to work independently in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg operations and others)
  • Proven ability to influence and convince through negotiation
  • Ability to be a self-starter , who can work in parallel on multiple projects
  • Capability to be a f acilitator to drive problem solving and troubleshooting activities

Travel:

~2 5 % required (domestic and/or international)
