We are hiring a technical writer intern to support power and control system training development within the Schneider Electric Services Team in Calgary, AB, Canada. Must be available for 4 months.
What will you do?
- Support the engineering and technical training teams in design and development of training presentations, manuals, for our customer's power distribution and control systems
- Use the MS Office suite to write, edit, and publish high-quality documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency in the content;
- Enhance documentation through creation of line drawings created in Adobe Illustrator;
- Collaborate directly with engineers and technical trainers throughout the design process;
- Estimate personal timelines to support effective project scheduling;
- Explore creative solutions, adopt emerging technologies, and implement best practices to enhance the quality and effectiveness of documentation.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Working towards an undergraduate degree or diploma in English, Technical Communications or Business.
- Proficient in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of delivering clear and concise documentation.
- Familiar with technical writing and illustration tools.
- Ability to follow standards, style, and brand guides.
- Passion for learning about complex technical concepts and translating them into user-friendly documentation.
