Technical Training Instructor

The Technical Trainer plays a critical role in providing Schneider Electric EcoStruxure product training to a variety of audiences, including internal employees, external customers, and third-party affiliates. Instrumental to this position is serving as Subject Matter Expert on EcoStruxure products to the courseware development team.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and Learning

  • Learn the tools of the learning delivery function.
  • Prepare and maintain OCS suite of virtual machines and images.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvements in current best practices, tools, and applications across the learning and training industry, such as facilitated learning, communities of practice, and recorded demonstrations.
  • Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of the functions and features of the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure product portfolio.

Training Delivery
  • Deliver technical training classes through the use of virtual classroom technology or in-person.
  • Complete pre- and post-session tasks that support learners who attended virtual instruction-led courses.
  • Provide learner support during synchronous and self-paced learning activities.
  • Adapt to training schedules to train global learners across different world time zones.
  • Pilot courseware to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of materials.

Course Development Support
  • Identify on-the-job tasks and challenges related to the targeted audience and courseware focus to ensure engineering project readiness and customer satisfaction.
  • Review courseware for technical accuracy.
  • Identify available product, technical, and process materials create technical demos, lab exercises, and courseware assessments as needed, related to courseware development projects.

Required Competencies and Experience
  • Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience configuring, building or maintaining process automation systems
  • Effective skills in explaining complex technical topics in an engaging and interactive way
  • Strong verbal communication skills with ability to articulate and enunciate clearly, simply, legibly and professionally.
  • Ability to use a variety of different communication tools, such as email, instant messaging, conference calls, and live-meeting software etc.
  • Team-oriented with interactive listening skills
  • Motivated self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities concurrently and engage support when needed
  • Ability to work in flexible timings and across different time-zones to ensure global delivery
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
