Technical Lead - Ecostruxure Power Operations

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $112,000 - $168,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Technical Leader - EPO Proximity:

Remote position with travel potential of up to 20% to client sites.

The mission will be to Lead Technical ownership & decisions of EcoStruxure Power Operations (EPO) based EPMS solution for the Proximity team within Digital Power Operations. The role includes managing technical risks, maintaining standards, developing competencies and supporting tendering and sales team with optimized architecture & manhours.

You will be responsible for the below technical topics:

Project Execution: (60%)
  • Developing SCADA applications.
  • Executing the complex engineering tasks for EPMS.
  • Supporting PMs for change orders.
  • Performing Quality checks.


Standardization & Efficiency (10%)
  • Developing and maintaining standards and repository of your accounts.
  • Developing and deploying plans for improving efficiency of EPMS project deliverables.
  • Creating Master Key account technical EPMS specifications.


Business Acumen: (15%)
  • Working closely with Solution sales engineers & Solution architect to support complex pre-sales opportunities.
  • Validating the technical scope & hours in the quotation.


Technical Management: (10%)
  • Managing technical risks and technical escalations for the projects.
  • Ensuring technical viability of the optimized solution.


Competency Development: (5%)
  • Supporting the development of technical competency of Jr. Application Engineers with local trainer.
  • Sharing best practice within team during technical forum & virtual teams.


Qualifications & Experience, Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, with emphasis on control systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience including experience in Electrical Power Monitoring Systems; Building Automation Systems, Systems Integration, Industrial Automation and/or Energy Management Systems.
  • Must have at least 2 year's experience developing EcoStruxure Power Operations (EPO) applications.
  • Expertise developing web and thick-client graphics using Template Graphic Markup Language (TGML)
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages.
  • Good understanding of industry standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnet.
  • Configuration and networking of power and energy meters.
  • Stable work history.
  • Willingness to travel 20% of time.


Qualifications, Desirable:
  • Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware.
  • HMI configuration experience, including graphical screen development.
  • Direct experience with deployment of Schneider Electric proprietary software such as Power Monitoring Expert and system platform.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently by listening and sharing information with internal and external stakeholders.
