Within Schneider Electric Industrial Automation Business, Digital Factory is an entity serving OEMs, end-users of Hybrid and Discrete products in all geographical areas. The technical documentation team (TechDOC) supports all product and software projects under development or maintenance in the fields of programmable controllers and robotics.

Your role:

Reporting to the Technical Documentation Manager, you will be the documentation project manager for the EcoStruxure Process Expert and EcoStruxure Control Expert projects. You will ensure the quality of customer documentation, following the creation, validation and publication processes. You will be an integral part of project teams, following the principles of Agile methodology. You will share your skills with the other Technical Documentation Leaders to ensure continuous improvement of processes and tools.

Your missions:
  • Document writing: Write and/or have written user guides, following Schneider Electric technical documentation processes.
  • Information research: Collect technical data and information from experts and R&D engineers to ensure accuracy of content.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work with different teams (marketing, R&D, quality, etc.) to ensure that documents meet end-users' needs.
  • International collaboration: Work with different teams based in China, India, Europe, US, ...
  • Use of software: Use authoring, publishing and other collaborative software tools for document creation and project management.

Your profile:

As a general engineer with a background in industrial automation, you have at least 3 to 5 years' experience in technical writing and a good knowledge of industrial automation and associated software.

Your competences:
  • Curiosity, rigor, organization and autonomy
  • A very good level of English: because we are international
  • Excellent writing skills in English and knowledge of related techniques (e.g. Information Mapping / DITA)
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills: because teamwork is important
  • The ability to synthesize information, and pugnacity
  • A passion for the customer: because quality is non-negotiable
