The Tactical Sourcing Buyer (Indirect Procurement) is in charge of executing commodity strategy for assigned commodities, support all locations within the region for the products/services in scope, solve the needs of the business and manage suppliers. This position facilitates the interactions between the clusters, cross-functional stakeholders, and purchasing to maintain and developing a panel of Best-in-Class suppliers meeting current business requirements, future growth needs, technological evolutions, supply chain optimization, and achieve annual cost savings targets

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute commodity strategies. Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of the local and global market trends.
  • Supplier Leadership: own the commercial relationships in the assigned commodities serve as the point of contact for problem escalation and drive sustainable development among the supply base.
  • Pursue systematic TCO reductions and value enhancements to drive cost savings and performance improvement.
  • Track KPI's and deliver reports as assigned.
  • Execute comprehensive RFQ process and support functional users in a timely manner.
  • Identify and develop supply sources.
  • Sourcing, standardization, spend control and innovation with suppliers.
  • Leverage cross functional expertise to implement cost models, qualify suppliers, and consolidate the supply base
  • Other responsibilities: supporting Regional & Global Sourcing Teams by being responsible for contract creations, RFx preparation and launch, additional data privacy control support, check purchase requests using our internal guidelines, support ad-hoc sourcing related needs

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management
  • 2-4 years of experience in Purchasing/ Procurement / Supply Chain
  • Spoken and written fluent communication in English
  • Additional language knowledge depending on the supported country/region
  • Project Management expertise
  • Knowledge on legal contracts, negotiations, and risk management
  • Skills: Leadership skills, Teamwork, Negotiation, Strategic thinking, Cross cultural awareness, Remote management, Communication (Written - ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner internally as well as externally), Problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ideal: SAP and COUPA knowledge, eAuction and international trade expertise, Finance basics
