For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $119,995.00 - $166,950.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer in Lake Forest, CA.
Job Description: Design and integrate EV charging systems, including charging stations, power electronics, communication protocols, and backend management computer, hardware, and software systems. Develop technical specifications for EV charging infrastructure, considering safety, performance, interoperability, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, such as SAE J1772, IEC 61851, ISO 15118, and OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol). Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop hardware and software components of the charging system, including user interfaces, control algorithms, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality. Position eligible for up to 3 days remote work per week.
Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering
(Electrical, Mechanical, Systems) Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in system or test engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Systems design of product, systems, or complex IoT offers including requirements writing, creating technical specifications, and performing functional analysis; Creating functional decompositions to allocate system functions to subsystems; Performing requirement management and traceability, including bug tracking; Leading deployment of software to systems; and Overseeing testing of software and hardware systems, including acceptance tests and field tests.
