Sustainability Leadership Program - GRADUATE PROGRAM

The Sustainability Leadership Program (SLP) is a 2-year rotational program opportunity beginning in September 2025 for recent university graduates to gain exposure to the Sustainability Business at Schneider Electric. As part of an ongoing initiative to develop and retain a highly talented workforce, our goal is to provide exposure in different business areas over a 2-year period. In our program, you will become a permanent employee who will rotate in different roles and gain valuable experience in the sustainability space.

Schneider Electric is aggressively tackling the issue of climate change by making bold commitments to make its operations carbon neutral by 2025 and net zero carbon emissions by 2030. Not only are we making bold commitments ourselves, but our Sustainability Business team is leading the charge in advising global companies in developing their own bold commitments to curb climate change and maintain less than 1.5ºC temperature rise. This position will be at the core of this global, all-hands effort for our planet and generations to come. Within our Sustainability Business, we are seeking highly motivated, collaborative, forward thinking graduates with an enthusiasm for energy and sustainability to join our graduate rotational program.

The rotation opportunities within the Sustainability Leadership Program (SLP) include but are not limited to these departments/roles:

  • Sustainability Consulting & Operations
  • Renewable Energy & Carbon Advisory (RECA)
  • Client Development & Client Management
  • Energy Efficiency Consulting


Program participants will be placed in one of the following locations throughout the duration of the program:

  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Madrid, Spain
  • Zaragoza, Spain


Candidates within these locations will be prioritized, others must be willing to relocate if necessary and accept rotation placements decided by the business and Program Manager. Preferences are always considered but cannot be guaranteed.

  • Gain exposure to the Sustainability Business and make real business impact through three 8-month rotation placements within the 2-year program
  • Develop a variety of skills and be fast-tracked through rotation placements on high-performing Sustainability Business teams
  • Learn on the job and through a structured development plan to ensure long term career success, beyond this program
  • Collaborate and learn from our specialist teams and leaders across the globe, in addition to program peers and graduates
  • Interact with local, regional, and global communities of peers, colleagues, and executives

This job might be for you if you have:

  • Completed a Bachelor's Degree or higher program such as MBA or Master's Degree by September 1st, 2025
  • Preferred Degrees include Sustainability & Environment, Digital & AI, Data, Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, and Economics/Business Management. We will consider other Degrees where there is demonstrated experience in the energy or sustainability space.
  • Willingness to learn a variety of skills and work on projects/assignments on multiple teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; willingness/potential to evolve into a leadership role in the Sustainability Business at Schneider Electric
  • A displayed passion to make a difference for the future of our planet and our people
  • Ability to speak, read & write English & Spanish fluently, a 3rd European Language would be considered advantageous (French, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese)
