Purpose of the job:
Undertake research, analysis, interpretation, solution development and delivery of strategic and regulatory sustainability projects for both internal and external parties. Support the identification and development of business opportunities, related to market conditions and requirements.
What you will do:
- Lead and partner with clients in developing sustainable energy and resource management strategies.
- Lead and contribute to the development of client sustainability strategies including facilitating executive level presentations and the analysis and benchmarking of performance to support organizational goal setting and implementation planning
- Develop energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, water footprints, waste footprints and other environmental inventories including data analysis, emission factor research and development, calculation methodology, web-system deployment and support clients' third party environmental reporting activities
- Develop or recommend initiatives and abatement models for achieving or informing corporate goals for energy reduction, green energy adoptions, or GHG reduction
- Carry out bespoke sustainability research, data analysis, solution development and report/present strategies to clients and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with various parties including clients, sector associations, regulators, internal stakeholders, and others to resolve queries
- Support and lead various sustainability service initiatives ranging from supply chain and product sustainability efforts to feasibility studies for various technologies
- Ensure that systems are used appropriately in the delivery of contracted work to clients and that client data is protected
- Provision of reports or information to internal and external stakeholders on time and to the highest of quality standards
- Legislative & Policy monitoring, analysis, interpretation and input into projects (EMEA markets)
- ESG materiality or double materiality assessments
- Coordination and collaboration with internal resources to deliver project solutions/client outputs on time, and to a high standard. Regular reporting on project KPIs and performance
- Assist in operational efficiency improvement through initiating and supporting initiatives to enhance operations
- Provide sales support and client-scoping calls when necessary
- Contribute to the development of training resources for both internal and external clients
- Deliver, where required, project implementations
What we need from you:
- University/College degree (Sustainability related Degree preferred)
- 3-5 years sustainability related technical experience
- Fluent English is a must
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel is a must (knowledge of Excel formulas and functions)
- Advanced knowledge of global GHG accounting protocols and reporting programs (CDP, DJSI, GRI, GRESB, etc.)
- Understanding of European environmental and carbon regulations
