Great people make Schneider Electric a great company - and now we are looking for a new Sustainability Analyst to join our Budapest based team.

As a Sustainability Analyst you would be supporting clients in meeting their mandatory and voluntary compliance obligations and targets across Europe in a timely manner, also proactively supporting development of new products in connection to environmental compliance and sustainability , working with internal tools and platforms.

You shall be an effective communicator and represent the company in front of clients and other stakeholders (governmental agencies, leading industry standard...), shall be able to analyze and summarize, question and challenge data and other information. You shall also feel comfortable working with numbers and have great digital skills as well as great knowledge of Excel.

Please note, this is an Entry level role within the team.

What you will do:

  • Drive client relationships through excellent formal and informal communication, which includes regular calls and the ability to advise on complex matters
  • Manage and deliver projects involving technical calculations (e.g. tCO2e or kgC)
  • Participate in consultancy projects for Schneider Electric international client base
  • Monitoring of carbon accounting standards and practices
  • Produce and analyze reports for a variety of legislative and voluntary schemes, which includes but is not restricted to
  • Collect and interpret clients data
  • Discover discrepancies
  • Produce reports
  • On time delivery of reports
  • Ability to advise on the report and connected actions
  • Ability to identify further business opportunities
  • Insure compliance by participating in the full circle of preparation for data submission, which includes but is not restricted to
  • Carry out internal and external audits
  • Insure relevant data is collected
  • Discover discrepancies
  • Communicate final results to clients
  • On time delivery of assigned work


What we need from you:

  • University diploma or degree preferably in Environmental / Economic / Legal areas
  • Fluency in English is a must - other languages are advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel is a must (knowledge of Excel formulas and functions)
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Excellent customer focus
  • Ability to manage routine tasks
  • Precision, attention to details and an excellent quality focus
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external parties within an international environment
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a pressured environment
  • Environmental background is preferred but not a must - we do welcome fresh graduates and junior professionals as well
  • Basic understanding of European environmental and carbon regulations is a huge advantage
