This role aims to deploy a quality and safety framework for our subcontractors and vendors in the qualification process and during execution through onsite audits and performance evaluations. This role should secure that Schneider's project business improve its safety and quality record with its subcontractors/vendors while continuing driving for continuous improvement and optimizations. Ensuring effective supplier management with tendering and project execution.
Location: U.S. or Mexico, hybrid schedule
What will you do?
Supplier Quality:
- Implement and deploy the global supplier management process in his/her area of responsibility.
- Conduct safety and quality audits (SAM) at site with subcontractors for installation work as well as contract manufacturing vendors e.g. E-house or panel builders
- Conduct supplier assessments and follow up
- Secure that the subcontractors quality assurance and quality control plan is in place and followed
- Drive the Supplier Quality Improvement plan with our preferred vendors and subcontractors
- Work closely with the project team and purchasers to define and form the best possible vendor base for Schneider Electric
- Minimize the cost of poor quality by addressing the root causes for any issue arising.
- Be a role model for quality and safety and never comprise these two key values
- Support vendor qualification process and risk management assessment.

Supply Performance:
- Define in conjunction project & service team how vendor performance feedback will be collected and deliver to them.
- Assure that Suppliers receive the proper performance feedback in a structured & methodic way.
- Define actions plans with subcontractors/vendors to reach expected level of quality in their deliverables.
Supply Development:
- Support key suppliers to improve their process and deliverables , defining and following actions plans needed.
Risk Management:
- Establish templates, procedures, check points along the value chain process to grant high level of performance.
- Detect external support needed and support quality assurance and quality control.
- Align this third party quality vendors with SE requirements, tools and methods to reach a consistency in the controls and actions beyond who do the job.
What's in it for you?
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $112,000.00 - $168,000.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- BA degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- 5+ years of experience in supplier management, performing audits, and supplier evaluations
- Strong and comfortable communication with leadership and external customers
- proficient in English
- This role requires 50% travel in order to perform on-site audits and supplier evaluations
