The position is within Home & Distribution division, which is part of Energy Management business. Home & Distribution provide wring devices, final distribution, and energy efficient software to customers. Our mission is to make homes more efficient, resilient and sustainable through an unparalleled omni channel network to our customers who love our brand.

The Home & Distribution strategy intern will report to Merge & Acquisition manager of Home & Distribution strategy team. We are a diversified global team with around 20 employees located worldwide in France, Spain, Canada, US, Germany, India and HongKong. We're driving strategic initiatives and shape the future for the division. The position will be located in Schneider Electric headquarter in Rueil-Malmaison.

Missions :

The Home & Distribution strategy intern will support key research and projects of acquisition and divesture activities of the division, working on 2 different pillars, with evolving weight / focus depending on priorities.
  1. Market / target screening
  • Understand and monitor the new technology, trend and evolution of Home & Distribution market and be able to provide valuable market insights and analysis.
  • Collect, filter and analyze target information according to division strategy pillars and initiatives.
  • Consolidate and manage pipeline of targets on a regular basis.
  1. Contribution to acquisition & divesture projects
  • Support the preparation of investment deck and other documentations.
  • Assist in project execution and relevant matters.

Duration of the internship: 6 months, available for a gap year or an end-of-year internship.

Desired profile :

Diploma targeted : Bac +5 - Engineer

Specialty : Strategy

Prerequisite:
  • Master's degree/MBA student from business school or equivalent in relevant field (With engineering background is a plus).
  • High Interest in Strategy, Acquisition, Project management and Digitalization.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel to create clear, concise, and informative reports.
  • Great verbal and written communication, business analysis ability to prepare impactful presentations.

Good interpersonal skills:
  • Collaborative team player who is comfortable to working across diverse geographies & cultures.
  • Strong willingness to learn.
  • Would be value added if has : Experience in energy /electrical/industry services or Functional experience in strategy/ finance / consulting.
  • Ability to communicate, work in a group/project mode, ability to create/innovate, ability to solve conflicts/problems, team spirit, have good interpersonal skills, customer orientation, determination, quality orientation, commitment, listening, empathy

- Languages: f luency in English is mandatory

- Software: Microsoft office suite
