REQUIREMENTS
We are currently seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Expert to join our Chennai dc. Reporting to India logistics director, you will be focusing on Warehouse and Logistics areas in Supply Chain function at plant. The primary responsibility of the role includes (but is not limited to):
Customer order management
Receive orders from DC's & Provide delivery commitment on time.
Provide revised delivery commitment for late orders.
Dispatch FG to DC's and optimize the deliveries & delivery cost.
Liaison with DC & Direct Customers for all issues related to orders, customer priority, forecasts and delivery schedules.
Liaison with Forwarders of Imports and Exports and also with CHA

Key Elements of the role:
Order Booking
Receives order from customers and IG group. Acknowledge orders for direct customers through email. Catalog the data in the SAP system accurately.
Coordination with transporters
Interact with transporters / vendors periodically and appraise them about their services.
Receives and gives input for continual improvement.
Receive and verify transporters bills and give clearance to accounts for payment.
Handling the casual workers and Training :
Deal with casual workers and improve their productivity in Material movement, packing and dispatching.
Allocate work effectively and with the given team effectively handle dispatches.
Conduct training on material handling system to all existing and new workers.
Customer Handling:
Communicate promptly to the customers about the dispatch details. Analyze internal situation and anticipate problems in delays. Inform in advance in case of such delays.
As a single point of contact with customers and DC, receive all inputs and issues from them.
Work with the internal logistics and other cross functional team to solve the issues quickly and effectively.
FG Dispatch
Ensure movement of Finished goods to appropriate location and update the data in SAP system.
Generate delivery details and ensure packing of materials as per the order specification.
Generate invoice for the packed material. Generate all other shipping documents, / excise documents.
MISSION
This position is for our Transport Control Tower
It requires a firm understanding on supply chain to facilitate, lead and improve cross-regional and cross-functional collaboration on regional scale supply chain events disruptions and day to day coordination with our logistics partners.
Must drive actions with functions and regions to monitor the regional performance of the supply chain: support the monitoring of exceptions at each supply chain step (SOURCE, PLAN, MAKE, DELIVER) to allow timely & informed decisions to improve customer satisfaction, quality and operational efficiency with regards to the External and Internal Customer Delivery Experience. Roles and Responsibilities
- responsible for customs compliance strategy making and process establishment, promote company process to be line with customs compliances
- Responsible for customs compliance implementation, assess customs risk and promote business improvement
- Organize to research and analyze import and export control, customs tariff and relevant preferential policy according to import export requirement, promote to reduce the law compliance cost and import export cost.
- Responsible for customs relationship building and custom clearance of company goods.
- Well-versed and practical experience in Foreign Trade transactions
- Review import documents for accuracy and send to customs broker for filing
- Co-ordination with clearing agents for timely release and delivery of shipments
- Audit and keep accurate records of import and export shipments
- Good Presentation skill & knowledge of incoterms
- Vendor Payment processing and timely distribution
Desired Candidate Profile
- Excellent knowledge of export and import of goods i.e. import license, LC, HS Code and Right use of HC Code etc.
- Familiar with import and export control policy, custom clearance process, customs evaluation, customs tariff and country of origin standard bonded warehouse
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Analytical and problem solving skill
- At least -- 3-5 year of experience handling company's custom clearance role and TCT management
