Position requirements:

The Industrial Quality Leader (IQL) is a Risk Manager. Outside of Schneider Electric the IQL is often referred to as an Advanced Quality Engineer. The IQL is responsible for the advanced quality planning process for New Product Development (NPD). The IQL engages with product designers early in the Offer Creation Process to become an expert on the product, components, and risks associated with each. After gaining the product knowledge, the IQL drives the deployment or the Industrial Quality Approach that focuses on ensuring quality of each upstream supply chain field and internal process

Based in Bangalore but required to travels to vendors, factories etc

Responsibilities :

Profile required:

Others (e.g. Attitude and Behavioral skills):

  • Owning the Qualification of PEP / Transfer / Localization projects for India region
  • Key stake holder in Stage gate / Steering Committee meeting for providing the GREEN signal for the Mass production from Process side
  • Creating Robust PFMEA, PQCP & interlink Controls for validation
  • Defining & Validation of Machine / Station / Process Qualification
  • Validating measurement Gauges through MSA approach
  • Process variation Study using SPC approach wherever applicable
  • Resolution of Quality issues thorough appropriate Quality tools, smooth Pilot & Transfer
  • End to End Process Audit to ensure Plant readiness
  • Surveillance Audit for the deployed lines to ensure the sustainability & improvement of controls securing the Customers
  • Work closely
  • Presentation to the Management, Documentation and Handover

  • Strong experience in Quality tools such as PFMEA, PQCP, PCP & Six Sigma
  • GD&T exposure and understanding
  • Experience in qualification of Assembly process, Machines, Jigs & Fixtures
  • Experience in Process Audit, Vendor Audit
  • Certified Internal Quality Auditor. Lead Auditor is a Plus
  • Hands on experience in using statistical tools, MSA, Controls Charts etc
  • Experience in usage of Minitab
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Exposure to mass production process is desirable
  • Supports manufacturing plants and maintains a close relationship with plants evolution
  • Experience in Quality Management System
  • Quality Authority, Influence & Convince
  • 6 sigma Green belt certification mandatory, Black belt is a Plus
  • Proficient in English and Local languages will be an added advantage
