In this opportunity you will support a variety of Schneider electric business units and draft, analyze and negotiate complex equipment, software, and services agreements of varying scopes and complexities.
Position Summary
- You will be part of Schneider Electric's North American Legal team by providing expertise in the areas of drafting, negotiating and providing advice for commercial contracting for various business units with responsibilities including but not limited to:

Roles & Responsibilities
- Drafting, analyzing, providing advice and negotiating a combination of specialized or complex equipment sales, software and service contracts of varying scope
- Be a business counsel, partner and provide strategic legal support and advice to internal business clients
- Working directly with internal stakeholders and customers , to negotiate complex agreements in relation to products, services, software and components to support Schneider Electric's business, product offerings and customer projects
- Provide pre-dispute advice to internal clients regarding disputes with customers
- Providing thought leadership on best-in-class contracting templates; development of contracting best practices, clause libraries and playbooks
- Provide legal advice and counsel within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to ensure that their current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies
- Provide legal trainings to business clients as directed by manager

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school in the U.S.
- Bar admission in at least one state
- At least 5+ years of experience directly handling, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial equipment, software and/or service agreements

- Strong commitment to serving as an engaged partner to the business and the legal team on all things commercial contracting
- Technologically savvy and willing to support new legal projects that incorporate and use technology
- Willing to take on new challenges
Preferences
- Law firm experience will be considered; prior in-house counsel experience within a corporate legal department is preferred
