The Cybersecurity / DevOps Engineer specific duties will include development and test of firmware within a team of embedded design engineers; Collaboration with internal and external teams to maximize re-use of existing IP (intellectual property), features & functionality; Evaluation and integration of emerging frameworks and technologies in the IoT/Connected Devices space; Designing and developing the next generation of products connecting embedded devices to cloud based services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product development teams to assess security implications of third-party integrations and service offerings
  • Develop and implement security best practices and guidelines for product development teams
  • Provide guidance and support during the design and implementation phases to ensure security requirements are met
  • Act as an expert facilitator on practices such as secure design, threat modeling, and vulnerability management
  • Conduct thorough security reviews of products against various compliance standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures
  • Act as a point of contact for cybersecurity posture for a portfolio of offers
  • Work closely with compliance teams to address audit findings and maintain compliance with relevant standards
  • Assist in creating and maintaining product roadmaps that incorporate security and compliance considerations
  • Lead and coordinate cybersecurity-related initiatives within the line of business
  • Docker knowledge and likely to have K8s knowledge with docker-compose
  • Linux administration knowledge
  • Networking knowledge, how to trace communication ports
  • Basic AWS knowledge, services and usage of them
  • Windows Server administration knowledge
  • Windows task scheduler knowledge
  • Advanced Jenkins and Jenkinsfile knowledge
  • Software development knowledge, how to compile and test C/C++ code
  • Advanced knowledge on python development
  • Powershell basic knowledge
  • BASH basic knowledge
  • Advanced Linux user access knowledge
  • Advanced VM administration for networking (VirtualBox)
  • Advanced knowledge on how to set and use environment variables on both Windows and Linux systems
  • Configure and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the infrastructure and applications.
  • Participate in design discussions and provide recommendations for improving scalability, performance, and security of the solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to DevOps, cloud computing, and data center management.


Qualifications

This job might be for you if:

Cybersecurity experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • *5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on product security and compliance
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies
  • Product and system cybersecurity architecture design and review experience
  • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards, such as IEC62443
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across remote and international teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CEH) are a plus


DevOps experience is a plus such as:

    • Experience in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Native Software Development.
    • Hands-on experience with configuration and maintenance in Azure or AWS.
    • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, containerization, and orchestration
    • Experience with development and operation of C/C++ based applications.
    • Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub and Jenkins
