Position Summary:
It is envisioned that the Solutions Architect, Sustainability Services role will be a subject matter expert on the following areas:
- Managed Services recurring deliverables such as data management, payment services and sustainability reporting.
- Resource Advisor and other Schneider Electric Advisor's and software applications.
- Understand and mapping how Managed Services will be delivered through our software and technology suite such that we operate as a software-led with-services organization.
- Technology integration and capture of interval data from the 'edge-layer' into Resource Advisor.
The role will be focused on enabling Managed Services Australia to fulfill its ambition of leveraging Resource Advisor and its capability to be a 'HERO OFFER' thereby enabling us to successfully compete on a technology platform basis with other consulting and technology groups within the Australian sustainability consulting market. In addition this person will have a deep role to play in understand and leading our teams through our technology transitions.

The person should have, or aspire to, a good understanding of the sustainability industry and Sustainability Business program knowledge and skills. To be effective the Solutions Architect must have strong technical expertise and be comfortable going deep in software and Schneider Electric's Advisor solutions (most heavily in RA) to showcase the full capability of Resource Advisor as a leading sustainability technology platform. The solutions architect will need to have an interest in 'edge-layer' technologies and conceptually understand how they can be integrated with Resource Advisor so that we have the potential for RA to act as a single pane of glass for data heavy organizations.
The Solutions Architect will possess a solid operational foundation with the ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to prospects, clients, client development team members and other resources in clear concise language that is the parlance of each group. The Solutions Architect, Sustainability Services will collaborate with Sales Teams (BD and CM) and Operations team members to help accelerate the sales process for data and Resource advisor services. The role will frequently be client facing with the Solutions Architect presenting the RA solution to potential opportunities and attending sales calls to better understand the challenges faced by each opportunity.
Measures of success:
- Increased licence fees and RA related fees reflecting the value of the 'platform' (as distinct and separate from the value of the managed services)
- An increase in clients leveraging RA as a software offering and (over time) a growing proportion of revenue from software.
- Greater digitization of our services offering to clients and reduced reliance from clients on Client Management for delivery of services.
- An increase in clients that integrate RA with other edge-layer technologies such that Resource Advisor can legitimately be called a 'single pane of glass' for sustainability data.
- Significant share of time spent in-front-of clients or opportunities guiding the sales process to ensure that our platform and technologies are represented to the best of our ability.
- Strong growth in our 'Hero' offers including recurring sustainability reporting services, reporting on and management of scope 3 emissions, non-invoice data management, integrating edge-layer technologies to RA.
- Strong relationships across Sales and Client Management teams.
Position responsibilities:
As a Solution Architect, your chief responsibilities will be:
- Development and structuring of client tailored sustainability software-led service solutions, focusing and revolving around the foundational element of Resource Advisor, in coordination with the lead salesperson(s)
- Provide added depth and credibility to the sales process by providing in-depth technical knowledge of the Schneider Electric software and technical offering.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI's / RFP's and guide sales resources in the development of industry leading proposals for service.
- Demonstrate the value of services and position them according to a strong understanding of the challenges faced by the client.
- Lead content development of standard proposals, contracts and supporting collateral for Sustainability Services.
- Consistently support local and global sales teams in the sales process with the common goal of winning new clients and cross selling to existing clients.
- Convey customer requirements to business leadership, ensuring that Schneider Electric offerings remain fresh and aligned with evolving marketplace needs.
- Communicate and educate across the sales and client management teams on the technical benefits of our software and platform solutions, including the differentiators with other software and platforms in the market.
- Explore, investigate, and evaluate other competing platforms and solutions to inform yourself of the differences, qualities, and limitations of Resource Advisor.
- Accompany sales team on sales engagements as required including travel throughout the sales territory where necessary.
- Be a leader and educator for the broader Australia team as we transition our technology stack in coming years and support in the change management necessary.

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
- Proven effectiveness at conducting business conversations in person and with people in a virtual setting at multiple levels of an organization.
Key Skills:
- Understanding of, and willingness to learn continually on sustainability industry trends, challenges, opportunities.
- Ability to listen to and understand prospect/customer sustainability "pain points", and address them by mapping to Schneider Electric strategy, technology, and implementation solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Strong technical foundation and desire to "go deep" with an affinity for client-facing activities; personable and engaging.
- Thrive in a team-oriented environment and willingness to support others to achieve sales.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Conflict resolution and emotional intelligence skills to handle and resolve complex issues within a team, department, and client process.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, BFO/Salesforce and other professional software.
