For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $112,000 - $168,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. As part of the Power & Grid Segment, the North American Solution Architect is responsible for architecting, designing, and bringing together the core capabilities of Schneider Electric's digital portfolio to help accelerate grid transformation for our most strategic customers. Rapidly increasing grid resources both in-front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter, coupled with extreme load growth from data centers and the electrification of everything, are creating challenges for utilities. The primary goal of this role is to partner closely with the Strategic Sales Account Executives in a technical capacity to develop business with key stakeholders at our strategic customers. This includes aligning our customers' challenges with our technology solutions, roadmap and capabilities using innovative approaches for advance energy management and grid optimization across their entire energy value chain. This consists in developing conceptual views, reference architectures and frameworks to position us to help our customers accelerate their decarbonization, electrification, and digitization stepwise journeys.

- As part of the pre and post sales process, this role collaborates across multi-domain teams to develop the best technical solution while acting as trusted advisor to our customers.
- Provides technical depth, understands, adapts, and applies Schneider Electric's full portfolio of offerings and solutions within the customer's IT/OT environment including our Digital Grid, AVEVA and Innovation portfolio companies.
- Applies an in-depth knowledge of customer processes, parameters to be optimized, and decision criteria to bring differentiated solutions.
- Act as the subject matter expert in North America for our Power & Grid portfolio of solutions to advise sales, product and marketing teams.
- Participate and lead industry conference speeches and panel discussions.
- Brings fresh industry and technology insights and innovation perspective to influence the operational and technical functions to build a pyramid of trust up to the key decision makers with strategic utility customers.
- 10+ years of utility experience working with business and technology leaders to understand new initiatives and/or existing challenges and recommend software and services.
- Strong collaboration with program/delivery managers to translate technical risk into tactical actions that can be injected into day-to-day activities to support risk mitigation.
- Expert with grid systems to manage solar, batteries, electric vehicles, smart meters, and other connected devices
- Familiar with control and coordination of all the different grid elements (assets, devices, configurations, etc.)
- Familiar with IT/OT applications (ADMS, DERMS, GIS, Asset Management, CIS, etc.) and deployment of large-scale renewable energy resources
- Assessing the current systems architecture and recommending solutions for improvement. Advise on business case creation when gaps are identified.
- Describing software structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects to utility stakeholders
- Overseeing development teams and provide regular updates on systems architecture projects
- Practical application and knowledge of Azure, AWS cloud platforms, and cloud services
- Collaborate and communicate well in a cross-functional, distributed team
- Ability to see and present the 'big picture' and offer solutions within that context
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
