Solar Utility Services Finance Director

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive financial expertise, deep experience supporting an O&M Services business, ideally in the Solar space, and a proven track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the overall financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  2. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  3. Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial statements and management reports.
  4. Develop and maintain robust financial controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  5. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to support financial operations and reporting requirements.
  6. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and automation.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business development opportunities.
  8. Mentor, develop, and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  2. Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with at least 8 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  3. Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  4. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards. Experience with Schneider Electric processes and Key Internal Controls considered a strong asset.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  6. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and financial reporting tools. Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Netsuite, our ERP system.
  7. Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business performance and operational excellence.
