GreenStruxure has an opportunity for a SOLAR PV ENGINEER in our MONTERREY location.

GreenStruxure is a partnership combining Schneider Electric's industry leading energy management and microgrid expertise with Huck Capital's sustainability-focused investment and operational focus. This partnership creates an innovative alternative for building owners and operators who want to transition to renewable energy to lower emissions, increase resiliency, and reduce costs, without investing in renewable energy assets and relying on specialists to operate the microgrid.

By offering Energy As A Service solutions under an outcome based model, GreenStruxure ambitions to simplify the market adoption of microgrids, that today can be a very custom, complex and expensive process by providing standardized, modular, pre-engineered solutions. GreenStructure's pipeline projects 5 megatons of greenhouse gas savings.

What do you get to do in this position?
    • Conduct Electrical and roof assessments to the sites.
    • Design of the array layout for rooftop, carport and ground-mounted PV systems, stringing layout, optimizing the inverters location, AC distribution panels, etc.
    • Develop design packages for construction bids, including BOM, construction documents for construction/permit, and technical details.
    • Develop site plans, single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, for permitting purposes.
    • Develop Capacity and Performance Ratio tests to demonstrate the performance of PV plants
    • Qualification and integration of assets in our systems
    • Develop integration studies for specific customer sites
    • Support and guidance in implementation in customer projects as a support to modeling and construction teams.
    • Provide technical support throughout the whole lifecycle of the offer and projects.
    • Contribute with Technical Standards for PV systems
    • Lead the investigation of system failures, and integrate feedback into design and construction standards
    • Follow technology advancements, code and policy changes, and safety and reliability practices which impact system design
    • Elaborate construction engineering packages for projects.
    • Review the detailed engineering ensuring the fulfilment of the requirements to reach the energy and power strategies, and looking for the most cost-effective solutions .

This job might be for you if:

• 5 years' experience including solar field design, energy storage, conceptualization, applicable code requirements and standards. Work will include optimization of projects, calculations, physical and electrical layout, as well as work with other discipline teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewables Energy Engineering, or related field

• Language: Advanced English required.

• NABCEP PV Associate or NABCEP PV Board Certifications will be a plus.

• International travel could be required; U.S. Tourist VISA is requisite.

Technical skills:

• Experience with Aurora Solar and/or Helioscope

• Experience in PVsyst

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience in Python.

• Experience in Sketchup, Revit, or alike will be a plus.

• Advanced understanding of the NEC and best practices for solar construction of rooftop, carport, and ground mounted PV systems

• Excellent computer skills with experience on the MS suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project

• Excellent project management skills to support multiple projects.
