Software Quality Assurance Manager

Novi Sad, Serbia

The Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management for quality assurance engineers, as well as building the quality policy and culture of our sites. The person in this role will manage quality processes and programs by developing, implementing, and administering quality standards and procedures assuring product quality and continual improvement.

This person will do so in collaboration with key business stakeholders, including QA Chapter Leader, Development Manager and Senior Management.

Main Missions:

  • Team Leadership, building a high-performance team and cultivating career development
  • Aligning product quality strategy with development team and business goals
  • Develop the chapter members on skills mastery & including Agile mindset
  • Develop and implement best quality practices across GIS leagues
  • Develop competency evolution to support customer centric innovation in line with business / League strategy & objectives and ensure consistency with career ambitions of chapter members and the Global Chapter strategy

Role and responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading and mentoring Quality Assurance Engineers
  • Manage the performance and competence of a team of quality engineers
  • Lead team strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to the definition of the agile governance of the League with relevant guardrails
  • Organize/manage the Quality function within a given entity (includes quality planning and measurements).
  • Build functional expertise in their discipline.
  • Set company standards and develop new ways of working
  • Continuously improve the function
  • Deploy tools and systems to support sharing & communication
  • Identify and support innovation opportunities (best practices, disruptive methods, developing new methods)
  • Manage staffing & attrition risks
  • Sets goals and works through goals plans with direct reports


Education, knowledge and experience:
  • Bachelor or master's degree in Engineering and Computer Science
  • 3 -5 years of experience in a Quality role
  • Knowledgeable about Geographic Information System (GIS) industry and technology is preferred.
