Schneider Electric has a new opportunity for a Summer 2025 Software Engineer Intern. This position will be based in Lake Forest, CA from June-August 2025.
What will you do?
- Assist the Triconex team to evaluate new technologies.
- Get familiar with the Triconex Safety system
- Develop tools and innovative solutions that can extend the Triconex software portfolio.
- Design, prototype and analyze new software solutions and existing legacy applications.
- Demonstrate weekly progress.
- Write design proposals and present to the leadership team.
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22 - $27 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- You are a current university student pursuing Computer Science major.
- The candidate will need to demonstrate strong mathematical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Have a very strong knowledge and experience with Python and able to demonstrate with individual projects that you completed.
- Have skills to be involved in some research based on machine-learning and data modeling.
- Passionate and enthusiastic to learn new tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of C/C++, Git and Matlab is a big plus.
- Local to Lake Forest, CA- this position does not provide relocation.
