What will you do?
The Digital Energy Application Center is expanding and is looking for a dynamic and experienced Smart Buildings Tender/Project Manager. This role will be crucial in overseeing the tendering process and executing projects related to smart building initiatives. The Tender/Project Manager will ensure that Digital Building customers and accounts receive a consistent, high-quality experience from the quotation stage through to successful project delivery and the closing of the sales cycle.
- Analyze RFQs from Sales for technical and commercial clarifications.
- Follow Schneider Electric Tendering governance process, mainly participating in review calls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, procurement, legal, etc.).
- Prepare costing as per standard process and tools.
- Prepare technical and Commercial documentation based on validated sales data.
- Closely work with sales for offer submissions complying with internal processes & necessary approval in place before offer submission.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analysis, including technical gap and cash flow assessments.
- Review contract alignment with Schneider Electric's business rules.
- Actively attend post-tender clarification meetings with customers along with the sales team to facilitate the negotiation.
- Review contract documents upon purchase order receipt for signatures.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans (timelines, resource allocation, budgets).
- Ensure timely project delivery through collaboration with teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Act as primary contact for customers, ensuring commitments are met as per contracts.
- Maintain strong client relationships with regular updates and issue resolution.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify scope deviations and manage change orders.
- Lead lessons learned meetings for future tender improvements.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (preferred), project management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tender management and project management.
- Demonstrated expertise in the building automation industry.
- Strong understanding of building technologies, automation systems, and energy management.
- Excellent organizational and strong communication and leadership skills.
- For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required.
