For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $ 128,480 - $ 192,720 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What do you get to do in this position?
Schneider Electric is seeking a Services Solution Architect for the Western United States. This individual will be a key position in the development and execution of our commercial strategy in the Western US. The role will partner closely with the West Outside Sales fighting unit to add breadth of offer to our customers, unlocking the full US Services portfolio. This person will be responsible for building upon existing relationship cultivated by our outside fighting teams, aiding in the discovery of new opportunities with our customer base. This person must be able to build and maintain a strong partnership to serve their customers' needs.
Mission:
Develop Core, Recurring & "On-Demand" Services growth by aggressively building our order intake in the region. This individual will be responsible for ensuring appropriate discovery and opportunity enhancement is assessed for the customer existing or potential install base. Actions include but are not limited to:
• Delivering sophisticated technical expertise to our customers
• Driving discipline and rigor around digitization & recurring business (from attracting new customers, through digitizing our customers and retaining our customers for life)
• Anticipating and proactive engagement with our customer base on modernization and obsolescence planning for our installed base customers
Essential Responsibilities:

A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to excel in a matrixed environment as well as be able to collaborate with their counterparts to support our business in the west through best practice sharing as well as joint accountability to deliver the strategy and the associated results. Collaboration with other business units is critical for alignment in each market that we serve and for our customers that transverse multiple Schneider Electric offers.
The Services Solution Architect responsibilities will include:
• Pre-Sales technical trusted advisor on architectures, systems and products
• Anticipate & understand customer needs and build full technical value proposition, to help drive key customer outcomes. Leading customer focused in-depth technical knowledge of cross-BU SE offers.
• Partner with sales and quotations team on technical elements of RFI/RFP to build service proposals.
• Drives continuous improvement thru collab with services excellence.
• Provides feedback on offer management and evolution of offers.
• Attend sales engagements as necessary.
• Validates technical integrity of quotation.
• Lead alignment of customized solution against field leaders (PSM, FSM)
• Advise with strategic and named accounts to develop customer strategy.
• Educate customer on technical aspects of offer via L&Ls, participation in thought leadership & Industry conferences.
• Perform customer site walks.
• Interface with Customer technical teams
• Act as coach to internal Sales fighting team.
• Responsible for the creation of reference architectures and Segment Solution requirements
• Mentor to System Architect
This job might be for you if:
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in field operations/ industry and sales within the Electrical Industry
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree required from an accredited institution (relevant work experience will be considered but may require additional electrical theory and safety training upon hire)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work well with all levels in an organization.
• Good understanding of Schneider Electric Portfolios including APC, Square D, and Software offering preferred.
• Situational awareness, social intelligence, listening, problem-solving skills.
• Passion for development of talent/ staff
• Collaborative and influential communication style
• The successful candidate will be a self-confident and skilled communicator who has demonstrated the ability to build relationships and influence others across functional boundaries.
• He/she/they must have well-developed strategic planning skills. He/she/they must be able to effectively challenge the status quo and network both upwards and downwards and collaborate and influence within a complex organization.
• He/she/they must have demonstrated ability to implement innovation and change. He/she/they should have a solid understanding of business finance.
• Ability to travel (50%+) as required.
