We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Process Automation team in North of Italy (Milan or Stezzano office). As a Service Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for our Process Automation systems at critical customer sites, mostly with DCS and Safety solutions. This role includes both regular maintenance and brownfield projects with a wide technology spectrum. You will work closely with our clients to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of their automation systems.
What will you do?
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process automation systems (including: controllers, HMI, network, workstations).
- Conduct system testing and participate in system integration activities.
- As a team member, develop logics & HMI screens for brownfield projects, system setup in staging areas.
- Provide technical support to customers, including diagnosing and resolving system issues.
- On-duty availability, on a weekly basis, for department scheduling.
- Deliver training to customers on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Proven experience in servicing and troubleshooting process automation for continuous process industries like Oil&Gas, Energy or Chemicals.
- Bachelor's degree in Automation/Computer Science/Electrical field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of DCSs, PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols. Previous knowledge of Foxboro, Triconex, Modicon systems would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems administration
- Familiarity with Ethernet networks and principles of Cybersecurity.
- Language: Italian language is preferred for our customers. Non-italian speakers need to be fluent in English and learn it in a short period to be succesfull.
- You need to enjoying learning new things every day. Our technology evolves, so do we.
- Problem-solving, even under time-pressure, is required.
- Ability to work both independently at site and in a team environment in office.
- Collaboration - working as a team with peers and Project Managers is key to deliver timely results.
- Technical writing for service activities, including reports, logs, and technical documentation.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for up to 75% of the working period.
