The Opportunity

Our Customer Projects and Services team are currently seeking Senior Services Engineer for a permanent position to be based in our Malaga WA office.

As a Senior Service Engineer in Industrial Automation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our clients' automation systems.

Reporting to the National Services Manager, Industry, the Senior Services Manager's expertise will be essential in providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency in the Pacific region.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you providing:

  • Technical Support: Offer expert guidance and support for automation systems, addressing customer inquiries and resolving technical challenges promptly
  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, PLCs, SCADA, MES, Software and other automation technologies
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with our services
  • Project Implementation: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training and support to junior engineers and clients, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster growth and development
  • Customer-Centric Focus: A strong emphasis on understanding customer needs and expectations, taking accountability for service delivery performance and driving future demand
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the team

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering Technology
  • Current (or eligible for) Membership of Engineers Australia in the grade of MIEAust TIEAust AIEAust Charted Engineering Certification
  • 5+ years exp in the delivery of Industrial Automation, Telemetry, Information Management System projects and services
  • Demonstrated leadership of small engineering teams in the successful delivery of projects and services
  • Minimum of 800 hrs customer and site experience - e.g. customer office, on-site or remote commissioning and support
  • Hands on experience in large managed service agreements, site work, commissioning medium to large projects
  • Advanced understanding of various Schneider platforms and a general understanding of the whole Industry product offer, or equivalent competitor products
  • Experience working to Service Level Agreements and fulfilling service contract deliverables
  • Advanced domain experience to competently interpret process descriptions and to develop technical DSS/FDS and system designs
  • Competency with MS Office applications and relevant SE applications
  • Detailed knowledge of theory relevant to position including process control, telemetry and communication, information systems
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen
  • A growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to a customer centric approach
