Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Sr. Plant Procurement Manager in our Nashville Tennessee location.
Responsibilities:
As the Procurement lead & accountable for the multiple MTS Cluster Plants Across NAM plant acts as the Single Point of Contact for the plants.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the correct deployment of the general Purchasing Strategy of cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.
- Propose, support and lead cost reduction projects/ ideas (Quality value engineering, Change of supplier, Negotiation) within their perimeter in consistency with the Purchasing strategy goals.
- Supports/Lead the Supplier Escalation process from the Supply Chain teams at his/her plants.
- Contribute to the correct purchasing database maintenance via the regular and constant update of corresponding data.
- Ensure correct deployment of Purchasing Excellence System and lead regular compliance audits within his/her scope.
- Support the commodity management strategy for supplier consultation & selection including negotiate and manage contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead times, pay terms, inventory level, etc.)
- Support and / or lead all the activities related the supply qualification system in plant according with the responsibility matrix defined.
- Identifies, with the PPM/PSL, new actions to reach the targets in term of productivity by lever.
- Ensures the negotiation coverage of his plant(s) & their results.
- Provides support to the PPM/PSL for the management of technical and supplier change actions (identification and progress) with escalation process within the purchasing function and/or the plant.
- The Sr. PPM takes part in the plant QBR and commits himself/herself to the Material Productivity Rolling Forecast.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or similar programs required.
- +8 years of experience in Purchasing, Project Management or related fields .
- Understanding of Engineering /Manufacturing Processes is a plus.
- Communication and leadership skills.
