The Role: Senior Payroll Specialist

What will you do?
  • Administrate payroll for the assigned countries. Perform payroll calculations and reconciliations.
  • Validate pay advices, payroll documents, reports, and results for accuracy in accordance to employment contracts, company policies and legislations.
  • Manage periodic payroll activities (eg. monthly/quarterly/annual) such as employee income tax filing and year end statutory adjustments.
  • Participate in the development or adjustment of procedures related to payroll operations. Maintain and Update Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
  • Maintain proper documentation storage of all relevant documents (payroll advice, reports and correspondences) pertaining to payroll, aligning to Schneider Electric's digitization goal.
  • Analyze complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. Respond to employee queries within stipulated timeframe as per service level agreement.
  • Be a subject matter expert in payroll administration, providing appropriate advice to stakeholders and be a mentor to peers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, payroll related legislations and audits.
  • Participate in Global, Regional and Local HR initiatives to drive process/program implementation and focus on continuous improvements in efficiencies. Refine payroll processes.
  • Embed continuous improvement as part of our DNA to provide seamless employee experience.
  • Vendor management.

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Human Resource / Mathematics / Accounting
  • 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in payroll includes work focused on designing and / ensuring compliance of the payroll process.
  • Familiar with the local statutory and governance for Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, or Thailand would be an added advantage.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills.
